An electricuke.com Guide!
Electric ukulele has more posture and attraction than anything on the planet so just what is the electric ukulele? There are at least three instruments going by that name:
1) Steel strings and magnetic pickup :
Not only are these instruments our true electrics, the players themselves are electrified! Steel! Magnetism! This is the real one at electricuke.com. It’s what this electronic rag is all about. They’re shiny and loud and seem to have parts everywhere! Superstars of the electric ukulele will emerge playing these. Plug them in and say hello or goodbye because you’re going to move!

2) Solidbody nylon stringed electric ukulele :
These have a piezo contact transducer built under the nylon stringed bridge. They can sound great amplified and can also be practiced with very quietly while not plugged in. I’ve been been nearly levitated by some players performing on these solid body ukes. Other players give me an ear ache. Close attention to set the tone and processing on the amp and FX is needed to make these sound right but the payoff can be big. For many this is the road to the land of loud and clear.

3) Acoustic-electric Ukulele :
Essentially an acoustic ukulele having a piezo contact transducer either mounted under the the bridge or under the resonating top of the body. You can find them everywhere and they vary in both design and quality as much as the purely acoustic instruments do. For many players these ukuleles offer a more acoustic sound in a louder and live situation.
